Underwood, Perkins & Ralston’s Bankruptcy practice is business oriented, highly varied and national in scope. Significant experience in all aspects of insolvency practice is available at hourly rates much lower than at larger firms. This cost benefit enables a client to retain our services early in a matter, when an experienced insolvency professional can be of great benefit.

Our firm represents clients in all types of matters, including pre-bankruptcy workouts and actual cases. Asset sales, avoidance actions, DIP lending, claims litigation and duties of officers and directors in times of insolvency also lie within the framework of the firm’s practice.

Our firm will also represent the debtor side in small to medium size business reorganizations and liquidations. Our Bankruptcy practice does not represent individual consumer debtors in 7’s and 13’s, but represents creditors in these proceedings, including tax lenders and other secured creditors.

The Bankruptcy practice also has extensive experience in financial workouts of technology contracts. One of our firm’s senior attorneys has over seven years experience as an in-house attorney at a large technology company in the Dallas area.

The firm also handles the collection of commercial accounts and commercial insurance premiums, deals with creditors rights and creditors rights in bankruptcy, assignments for benefit of creditors and matters involving the composition of creditors.
